Celebrating Our Freedom For Independence Day!

American FlagProud To Be An American

Independence Day is just a few days away, meaning it is time to get ready to celebrate America! As you prepare to enjoy your holiday weekend, it is important that you take a moment to show your American pride and be thankful for our freedom. Before you put your party hat on, be sure to commemorate the Declaration of Independence and our freedom as Americans. Far too many of us take our freedom for granted. As you chant “Proud to be an American,” keep these important 4th of July safety tips in mind:

  • The most important thing you can do on 4th of July and throughout the entire holiday weekend is remain aware of your surroundings at all times. Whether you are boating, road tripping, partying, dancing, barbecuing, or parading, it is important that you act with a safety first mentality at all times.
  • Write down the number for a local taxi service before heading to the party! Even if you do not plan on consuming alcohol it is best to take a safe ride home, as other partygoers may not be as responsible as you.
  • Some people do not realize that the roads become inherently more dangerous all weekend long for the holidays. Try to anticipate the actions of others because many people will drive erratically as they speed off to their 4th of July destination.
  • While you may think that it is a good idea to purchase fireworks from the kiosk on the side of the road, it is probably not the best idea. If you are not with a professional or not experienced with fireworks, leave the light show to the pros.
